Fall is just around the corner in our wonderful state of Iowa. School is beginning to start, the Iowa State Fair is wrapping up, and the sweet corn is at its peak. All of this means an increase in meat and produce as gardens wrap up for the year, as the weather turns cooler and the school schedule is back in play. It has been a fun and busy summer here at Katana, Inc. and boy has it went fast. One of the highlights was that one our driver’s, Ernie Coverdell, won first place in the Working Truck Company – Combination at the 2015 Walcott Truckers Jamboree Super Beauty Contest that was held July 9 – 11. He took our brand new 2016, 389 Peterbilt that he chromed out and lighted up to the extreme. It has a 280″ wheelbase, 560 hp Cummins, 13 speed 3.25 rear end. He had an awesome time and is looking forward to doing it again next year, we are very proud of him. See you all soon, as the weather gets cooler and the leaves begin to fall.
Do to Ernie’s truck show exposure Katana, Inc. has been featured in the September Issue of 10-4 Magazine. The article turned out outstanding and features a lot of history and photos of the company.
